Heat-Us is a dance performance authored by Chiara Cappelletto, Giulio Galimberti, and Arcangelo Merla, and choreographed by Stefania Ballone (Teatro alla Scala Ballet Company) https://www.instagram.com/_heatus/. Heat-Us stems from https://pis.unimi.it/digital-devices-and-in-vivo-imaging/ and stands out for its unprecedented collaboration between contemporary dance, philosophical research, and new technologies, exploring the relationship between the human body, the environment, and images. At its heart is the use of thermal cameras, which translates our temperature into real-time images. Heat—normally invisible—thus becomes a visual code that registers presence, movement, and interaction. The audience is actively engaged to investigate its own thermal reflection in a participatory experience that blurs the boundaries between seeing and doing.
Heat-Us will be presented at the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, in the ballroom of the Transatlantic Conte Biancamano, within the Aeronaval Pavilion, with three performances on Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19, 2025.
